| Whole logs are broken down in the
milling process by one of two machines: a Quad band mill or a Head
rig band mill. As their names imply, these machines use band saw blades
for cutting the logs. Here is a band saw blade on the sharpening machine. |

This is our Armstrong grinder. After re-tipping, the bandsaw blades need the rough edges taken off. This is one of the machines we use for that purpose. |
